All podiatry treatments are recognised by major Irish health insurers. If you are a member of an approved private health insurance scheme, you may get a tax credit. This tax credit is granted directly by the insurance company.

Podiatry qualifications have been validated by the Health Service Exective (HSE) on behalf of the minister of Health.

The Irish Society of Chiropodists & Podiatrist of Ireland are a professional body representing Podiatrists/Chiropodists working in both the public and private sectors in Ireland. The Society is dedicated to member service, preventing lower limb pathologies and promoting foot health awareness to the general public.

HCPC Registered

The Health Care Professional Council (HCPC) is a regulator, set up to protect the public. To do this, they keep a Register of health and care professionals who meet our standards for their training, professional skills, behaviour and health.

With 26 bones each, your feet contain a quarter of all of the bones in your body. Each foot also has 33 joints and more than 100 tendons, muscles, and ligaments. All of these pieces have to work together so your foot functions properly and has the added task of bearing the weight of your entire body. It's not surprising that your feet are susceptible to numerous injuries and conditions. However, with proper foot care, you can reduce your risk of foot problems.
